Episcopal Homes Joins the No Kings Protest

On a powerful Saturday morning, more than 50 residents and friends of Episcopal Homes gathered along University Avenue to take part in the No Kings protest—just steps from our campus—to raise their voices for democracy and justice. With signs raised high and voices strong, our residents joined together to demand change. The protest challenged systems of power and inequality that impact so many in our city—reminding all of us that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.
Cars honked in solidarity as residents stood side by side with neighbors, staff, and local organizers. One resident shared,“We’re not too old to care, and we’re not too old to be heard.”
This protest was more than an event—it was a statement. A reminder that older adults are not bystanders in social change. They are leaders, advocates, and powerful voices for justice.
