The floor of the heated underground garage at our Midway Village senior apartment complex is finished. Now, as you can see in the picture, forms are being put in place to pour the floor for our street level Village Plaza, which will host sundry amenities and conveniences for all our of campus residents to enjoy (warm water therapy pool, fitness center, deli, spa, convenience store, theater, meeting rooms, guest rooms, a two-story indoor Winter Garden, and more). In the mean time…
The number of apartments in The Terrace at Iris Park (Midway Village’s Catered Living residence) has been reduced from 61 to 58. That’s because we’ve had to add more two-bedroom apartments due to higher demand than we originally anticipated. The final count is 29 apartments with one bedroom and 29 with two bedrooms. As of now, 38 of the 58 apartments have already been reserved, so only 20 apartments remain – and we’re still more than a year away from opening! If you like the idea of living carefree with great neighbors and the Green Line right at your door, now would be a great time to get in touch with our Community Relations Director, Deb Veit, to explore the possibilities. Deb can be reached at 651-632-8852 or dveit@ehomesmn.org.
BONUS: If you reserve your home at The Terrace at Iris Park during construction, you will get interior decor choices normally reserved for new home buyers (wall colors, carpeting, floor coverings, cabinetry). Why buy new when you can rent new?
NOW IT CAN BE TOLD: Midway Village will have a licensed Day Care Center for infants and toddlers! The tykes it serves will come from Episcopal Homes staffers and the surrounding neighborhood. This is something we’ve wanted to do for years, but have never had the space. Now, the space is designed-in, complete with big, bright windows overlooking neighboring Iris Park and a secure outdoor playground! Our hope is that some of our current and future residents will enjoy being volunteer grandparents so our little ones can have a wonderful inter-generational experience when it matters most. It’s all part of Episcopal Homes’ commitment to Lifelong Living!
