Laundry Services are only the Highest Quality at Episcopal Homes of Minnesota – The Minnesota Chemical Company
Thank you to The Minnesota Chemical Company for choosing Episcopal Homes of Minnesota to be featured in your July 2015 Monthly Bulletin.
The Episcopal Homes’ campus in the heart of the Midway district of St. Paul, MN recently completed a major expansion. This collection of properties serves some 480 seniors in a full range of settings from independent living, assisted living, affordable apartments, catered living units and skilled nursing care. Residents have available to them an amazing array of services and amenities including a pub, movie theatre, convenience store and fitness center featuring a warm water therapy pool and Minnesota’s first Motion Wellness System.
Founded by Sister Anette Relf in 1894, to serve the areas aged and infirmed, Episcopal Homes today continues the mission of enhancing the quality of life for seniors by providing homes and services that support each individual’s physical, social and spiritual needs.

Laundry services for all of the residents are provided in several methods and locations throughout the campus. Minnesota Chemical has installed Milnor washers and Huebsch dryers, along with Ecolab liquid chemicals, in the main on premise laundry in the Episcopal Church Home building. Laundry for residents in the other communities on campus is done by aids in home type washers and dryers using Ecolab’s Brite White premeasured water soluble packets.
“Everyone loves the convenience, cleaning power and aroma of the Brite White product” commented Meagan Schumann, Environmental Services Supervisor. The Episcopal Homes senior community is truly the newest jewel in the revitalized St. Paul Midway neighborhood.
About The Minnesota Chemical Company:
MCC has been keeping things clean since 1915 when founder R.P. Baker decided the Upper Midwest needed a more local source for laundry and dry cleaning supplies. In the early decades, MCC distributed national brands and also had an active soap manufacturing plant. These high quality natural soap products were sold to laundries, and they were also distributed as plant cleaners to creameries and dairies. With the dawn of synthetic detergent products, MCC discontinued our soap operation and expanded our offerings to include laundry and dry cleaning equipment, parts and service. Today, the third generation of the Baker family still owns and operates MCC, and MCC continues to focus on serving Midwestern clients. We are proud to offer best-of-class supplies, equipment, parts and service for on-premise laundries, dry cleaners and coin operated laundries.
