Five Episcopal Homes Employees Awarded Scholarships

In July, Episcopal Homes Foundation awarded over $30,000 in educational scholarships to five outstanding employees to pursue their education. Three of our scholarship recipients will be pursuing their Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees in nursing. Another employee will be pursuing additional training in child development, and one employee is working towards her Master’s in Public Health.

At the Foundation’s Scholarship Reception hosted August 16, scholarship recipients Maria Saliente and Mohamed Turay celebrate with President and CEO, Marvin Plakut, (left) and Foundation Executive Director, Mary Routhieaux, (right).

Through the Employee Scholarship Program, we invest in our employees and remove financial barriers that get in the way of their career and professional development. When employees earn academic credentials, they can advance within our organization, strengthen care for our elders, and develop new career paths.

A scholarship reception was held in August to congratulate our new scholarship recipients and to celebrate with staff who received scholarships in past years. We are so excited to support this new group of students, and to continue the support of our previous scholarship recipients.

The Employee Scholarship program is funded through the generosity of Episcopal Homes Foundation donors. We are so grateful for your support.
