Aamodt’s Apple Orchard for a Fall Festivity
A couple weeks ago, Episcopal Church Home – Nursing Home community ventured out to Aamodt’s Apple Orchard in Stillwater, MN. Resident Ron Giedd expressed, “It was truly a beautiful experience.” There was about seven residents and three Life Enhancement staff members that joined the outing to Aamodt’s Apple Orchard.
While at the orchard, the residents enjoyed apple treats including apple brats, kettle corn, Honey Crisp salsa and chips and apple oatmeal cookies. Another fun feature at Aamodt’s Apple Orchard was exploring the shop, farm animals and apple displays.
The residents enjoyed watching the farm animals interact with one another. A few ladies took the opportunity to visit the winery for a glass of vino as well. Much fun was had by all.
Resident Ron Giedd summed up the day best with a poignant quote: “When I moved in here, I thought a nursing home meant I was just here waiting to die. Days and activities like this make me feel like there is something to live for.”
