Episcopal Homes’ Women in Leadership: Meet Brenna Pribnow

Meet Brenna Pribnow, NeighborCare Director

How long have you been in your position? Can you tell me a bit about your training/previous positions?

I have been with Episcopal Homes for 2 ½ years now. I have been the NeighborCare director for about 6 months now. I was working at Episcopal Church home as the Assistant Administrator when I graduated with my bachelor’s in healthcare management, so this is my first professional job. I also interned at Cassia to obtain my LNHA while in college.

What qualities make a good leader?

The best quality a leader can have is showing up everyday for their team. When you show up, the rest of your team does too. This applies to both physically showing up as well as mentally being present and a part of you team.

What are the most important skills you use as a leader?

The most important skills I use as a leader is to letting your staff learn and grow to make decisions for themselves. I want my team to feel like they have the ability to make decisions and have control over their job. If they need the help or guidance, I am there for them.

Please share an accomplishment you are especially proud of:

I am really proud of the NeighborCare team. Our caregivers are all so kind and caring. They truly go above and beyond for our residents. I am also proud of the administrative staff in NeighborCare. This program would not be successful without each and every person on our team and we have come a long way in making this a strong program. I may be the Director of NeighborCare but our team is the stars of NeighborCare.

Please share a goal(s) for your area for 2022:

My goal for NeighborCare is to reach 100 clients by the end of 2022.

A short sentence or two about you personally:

I love to workout in the morning before work and go on walks with my dog in the evenings after work. I also play volleyball in a women’s league and I cannot wait for summer for warmer weather and grilling season. I got married recently, and I am finally using my married name of Pribnow!
